Tell us a little about yourselves.
We are actors, models, and dancers and have been in the industry for almost 10 years! We have appeared in movies and TV shows such as The Blacklist, Madam Secretary, Lip Sync Battle Shorties, Veep, The Sun is also a Star, and many more! We are also identical twins!
Tell us about the "The Sun Is Also a Star"
The Sun is Also a Star is based off of the New York Times best-selling book by Nicola Yoon. The story is about Natasha and her last day in America before she is deported to Jamaica. On her last day, Natasha meets Daniel and they fall in love. Anais’ character is Young Natasha and the scenes give flashbacks on the important moments in Natasha’s childhood that plays into the person that she is today.
What was it like to be on set of a movie?
It is always so much fun filming! Being on set is our “happy place.” We can always be ourselves and do what we love most, acting! Everyone on set is also always extremely kind. By the end of filming, everyone becomes our second family.
Do you have a special moment you can share for that experience?
A special moment I shared on set was on my first day and I got the visit the set while I was doing my fitting. I met YaraShahidi and Charles Melton and Charles even let me sit in his director’s chair! I talked to Yara about college and our lives. That was an awesome day.
Tell us about your personal fashion style.
Our personal style consists of fun colors and patterns. We really don’t have a specific style just as long as it’s fun and cool! We love mixing and matching basic and statement pieces together.
What has been the hardest part about being in lockdown for you?
The hardest part of the lockdown for us has been not seeing our friends and not going events. We are used to seeing our friends every day at school and going to different events every weekend. That change has been hard for us but we stay connected by Facetime and doing Zoom Calls together.
Have you learned anything about yourself from being on lockdown?
We have learned that we love to bake! When we were not locked down, we never really had time to bake but now we do! We are baking tons of cakes, cookies, and pies for our family to enjoy during the lockdown.
Which are your favorite social media apps?
Our favorite social media apps are of course, Instagram and we love Tik Tok. We love scrolling through our Youtube page every day and watching dance and funny videos. We love going on Instagram to look at fashion pages or skin/haircare videos.
