Faouzia Graces The Cover of A-list Nation

Faouzia, is a Canadian-Moroccan singer-songwriter and musician. This 19 year old powerhouse will leave you in awe. The minute you hear Faouzia open her month and hit that first note you know that you are hearing one of the most powerful voices of this generation. Faouzia is not only amazingly talented but she is also humble, kind and full of life. While on set for her cover shoot we could feel the creative energy just pouring out of her. We are all in for a wonderful ride watching this legend grow into her musical stance. Her voice will move you to tears and make you want to jump up and dance all at the same time. She is featured in the song “Battle” on David Guetta's studio album "7", that dropped August 2018. In a French language interview with Le Matin, Guetta noted Faouzia's great voice, powerful vibrato, and unique style for why he choose her for his album. She began writing her own songs at the age of five and singing with her sister and this sole artist is moving toward the Grammy’s at warp speed. We are sure she will soon be included with the greats Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, and Adele.

When did your passion for music first begin? Can you remember a specific memory?
My passion for music first began when I was four. I remember seeing my older sister playing the piano and wishing that I could play it as well. I begged my parents to put me in piano lessons and ever since then I’ve been hooked on music completely. I’ve also been writing stories and poems since I was six and I wrote my first song when I was six as well. I’ve then merged the writing and musical worlds together and became a singer-songwriter at a very young age as well. I have been completely passionate about music ever since I started.
How would you describe your sound?
I would say that my sound has three important elements. The first being the message that I’m trying to transmit and convey to everybody, the second being the pop melodies, and the third being a sprinkle of Arabic elements. All of this paired with Heart-filled vocals.
Congrats on being featured on a David Guetta's album! Are there any other artists that would be a dream to collaborate with?
I have a huge list of artists that I would love to collaborate with but my top 3 would probably be Sia, Ariana Grande, and Imagine Dragons.
You’re so creative and talented as an artist..but you’re also dedicated when it comes to studies! We love that you can do it all - what are your academic goals?
My academic goals are to finish my computer engineering degree whilst doing music. It’s definitely not easy, but I’ve always loved a challenge!
Is there any specific artist who inspires you or influences you?
Many artists have inspired me mainly by their drive and personalities. Growing up I listened to all kinds of different genres but what really stuck with me is how the artist performed on stage and how they were as a person.
