Please tell us a little about yourself. I live in Los Angeles. I am an actor who grew up in the industry. Movies are a huge part of my life and I love the movie-making process, which is like magic to me. I love action, fantasy, drama, comedy — everything really. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to travel the world for both work and pleasure. I am obsessed with animals and helping them. In fact I just rescued a three-legged beautiful, a little bully mix from Mexico. I enjoy fitness and am always trying to work on myself and be the best person that I can be. I love my family and I am always up for adventure.
You have been working on so many amazing projects, can you tell us how it feels becoming part of such an iconic film "The Karate Kid," "Cobra Kai”?
I am truly grateful. The experience has been something I will never forget. It’s a very special franchise with its unique placement in film and now the television world 35 years later. I consider myself incredibly lucky.
You keep very fit for your roles. What is some advice you have for getting fit before summer? Eating properly is probably my biggest hardship! It really comes down to diet and exercise over time and allowing those results to take place. You have to get rid of the immediate gratification of thinking things are going to change overnight. I also take it personally. It's a goal for me. I know that if I’ve gotten my body into the place that I want it to be, I’m also going to be mentally prepared for where I wanna be as well. It’s a way of keeping yourself accountable for the work.
What is your go-to meal when on the go? I definitely always enjoy an apple or banana and a Quest bar, specifically the cookie dough, which is my favorite.
Tell us about "A Taste of Love." “A Taste of Love" is a wonderful romantic comedy about a woman named Taylor played by the incredibly talented Erin Cahill. She’s a chef who comes back home to her small town where she and I rekindle our old flame that had burned out. It is a wonderful family movie about love, food, and making the right choices in life. I can’t wait for people to see it. It’s a heart warmer for sure!
What is it like working with family? Working with family is always a fun experience. I find that we tend to push each other and care for each other so much, and also only ask for our best work from each other. What we do is on camera will last forever and that’s very special to me. I get to look at all these different projects over the years and see the progression. One of the things I love about working the family is you wind up doing a lot of laughing together.
Do you have any summer vacation plans? Yes, I will be in Europe for several different Comic-Con conventions. I’m very much looking forward to meeting the fans. My girlfriend and I will also be doing some traveling somewhere tropical. And I will be starting a new film in May. It’s a western where I will be playing Wyatt Earp. It's definitely going to be a fully packed summer. What are you most looking forward to in second half of 2022? I'm looking forward to the incredible work opportunities, as well as continuing to pursue my own endeavors with friends and family.
