Interview: Lexia Hayden
Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a 14 year old model and athlete who lives with her family in NYC. I have an older brother. I’ve been modeling since I was 6 months old. I also love to read and hang out with my friends.
Being a social media content creator can be very stressful, what keeps you grounded?
My mom mostly manages my account and helps me balance my school, work, and tennis life. I try not to look at my following or likes and just focus on posting content that I love.
Is there anyone you look up to in the modeling world?
I look up to Gigi Hadid and love watching her walk. I also look up to Anna Kournikova because she was able to have both a successful modeling and tennis career.
What’s your favorite social media app?
My favorite social media app is probably tik tok. Although I don’t go on it too much, I love how you can find so many different types of content like dancing, clothes, and food.
Do you have a favorite YouTuber that you watch?
I only use YouTube to workout, so my favorite ones are Pamela Reif, Lilly Sabri, and Chloe Ting because their workouts are amazing!
Tell us about your upcoming projects or what you are currently working on.
An upcoming project I have is my Halloween photo shoot. We’ve been working on costume and makeup ideas and I’m so excited for it. Currently, I’m modeling clothes from Shein and Romwe and I’m also finishing up a collab with The Coldest Water. I just got back from L.A. where I shot with Petite n Pretty & Chance Loves . Those pics are coming soon.
Do you have any plans for the holidays?
I’m celebrating Rosh Hashanah with my cousins and our family might go to Charleston for spring break. It would be so cool to go there because that’s where parts of one of my favorite shows, Outer Banks was filmed!
What are you most excited for this fall?
This fall I’m excited to start High School and play on the tennis team there. I’m also looking forward to taking walks and seeing the leaves turn colors.
