Interview : Charli Elise
Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a 16 year old born and raised in Los Angeles. I grew up dancing and singing and I have always loved preforming. I started posting on TikTok, which is how I got started with social media. I love posting a variety of content including dance videos, POVs, transitions, comedy, routines, and more. I am a really positive and outgoing person and I try to reflect my personality in my content!
How did you become a social media personality?
I first started social media because I loved watching other creators. My best friends and I were obsessed with YouTube growing up, and we made so many videos for fun. Watching other creators made me happy and I wanted to do the same for other people.
What has been the best part of being a content creator?
The best part of being a content creator is getting to talk to my supporters. They are truly the sweetest, kindest, most genuine people and I am so thankful for all of them. I love DMing them, going live with them, and watching their edits. They always make my day!
What is the worst part of being a content creator?
I don’t really think that there is a worst part necessarily. I think the most challenging part is ignoring any negativity on social media. Luckily, I have really amazing supporters who always make me happy!
Tell us about your YouTube Channel.
My channel is called, “Charli Elise,” and I post a variety of lifestyle content. I love YouTube because it allows me to share more of my life with my supporters. I love talking to them, and getting to know them!
Who are some of the people you love watching?
I love watching Emma Chamberlain and the Dolan Twins. They are so funny bubbly. I have so many tiktokers that I love watching, so it’s hard to pick! I love watching funny videos, dance videos, POVs, and makeup videos. There are so many amazing creators on the app!
Who would you love to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Loren Gray! She has always been a creator that I have looked up too. I really love her authenticity and positivity online, and I think it would be really cool to meet her!
What have you learned about yourself this past year?
In the past year I have learned that it is always important to be yourself, and stay true to who you are. The best thing you can do is focus on the positive, do things that make you happy, and try to make other people happy, as well!
What are some of your hobbies or interests that people don't know about?
I have so many hobbies! I love to sing, dance, cook, draw, paint, anything outdoors, and so much more! I also really love spending time with my friends, family, and pets.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
In five years I see myself continuing to do what I love. I am so lucky to be able to explore my interests on social media, as a musician, and in the entertainment industry while also being a student, and I hope to continue to do so.
